Cockpit2 Software is a proprietary software developed by Videoassistech, with an innovative and unique user-friendly philosophy, aimed at speed and flexibility even when dealing with VFX. Specifically developed for use on feature films, TV commercials and music video productions.

Its main features are:
• multi language and multi standard (PAL and NTSC);
• one touch recording with indication of Action point;
• It records and stores each take in a database where it can be easily and quickly retrieved using a powerful search engine;
• status of take ( good, no good, best, rehearsal) is made evident in the list of takes using colours; all colour indications can be customized;
• It allows to integrate each take in the database with all kind of information: project (director, production, etc), scene (location, INT/EXT, DAY/NIGHT, SND/MOS, etc), filming device (camera, lenses, iris, filters, etc), actors (ID, actor and character), length of take ( TC in, TC out, length expressed in meters, feet or seconds), take status ( good, printable, best, etc), type of signal ( if video or film, what kind and what format), number and type of film roll; and you can add individual notes, too.
• It keeps track of film consumption through the rolls management module;
• It allows to adjust the compression ratio of each take;
• It keeps track of available disk space in relation to compression adjustments;
• It generates camera reports which can be printed or exported on file, thus reducing accounting time at the end of the day;
• It generates customisable frame lines
• It controls two video outputs: the operator can choose which signal is sent to the director's monitor (internal or Live);
• Layer-independent motion effects and ramps are reproduced in real time with field accuracy;
• Real time compositing with two video streams - one of which can be the live feed - is easily and instantly obtained by applying (on both layers, also in combination): Chroma/luma keys, masks, DVE, CROP, FLIP, ZOOM, transparencies and wipes;
• Composites are modifiable even after recording: effects can be added or just be switched on/off; use the 'compile' function to obtain multi-layer composites.
• It allows the immediate synch of two layers with the touch of a button;
• External time code acquisition (24, 25 and 30 fps), allows a professional editing on set, thanks to optional editing software INCITE EDITOR 3.1®, fully compatible with Cockpit2;use also PREMIERE or any other PC software.
• It offers unequalled export (to tape or DVD) features: playout of lists of selected clips with graphical data slates in-between each clip; initial visual-countdown + colour bars and tones; fully customisable.
• Alternative Quick&Easy interface - which can be operated only by console or touch-screen - including only basic functions (rec - playback - loop - scroll/create scenes/takes - change FPS); possibility to lock out advanced functions for diversified rental fees!
